The Winnipesaukee Ski Club was formed in the early 1900s, they cut trees, groomed trails and basically developed Belknap Recreation Area in Gilford, NH which later became Gunstock Ski Area and at present is called Gunstock Mountain Resort. Belknap was a WPA project. Gunstock now is the host for the Gunstock Ski Club which is a training facility for young racers. This is the sign which hung on the Ski Club Building.
